The Town Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month and a work session on the last Tuesday of the month. Council meetings begin at 6 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) and are held in the Ronnie S. Williams Council Chambers at Town Hall, located at 900 7th Ave. in Garner.

Meetings are livestreamed on facebook.com/townofgarner and youtube.com/townofgarner. Recordings of meetings also are repeated on Spectrum channel 11. 

The Town of Garner is committed to giving the public an opportunity to offer comments and suggestions.  Depending on your topic, there are two ways to address the Council. 

For topics that are on the agenda, Council will invite the public to speak at the appropriate time during the meeting. 

For topics that are not on the agenda, Council provides time under the Petitions and Comments portion of the agenda to allow the public to speak. Speakers are asked to keep their comments to a maximum of three minutes for non-agenda topics. 

While the public can attend the work sessions, there is no provision for public comment. 

If you are not attending the meeting, you can submit a public comment using the Town Council Citizen Comments form. 

No. Each official meeting of a public body is open to the public, and any person is entitled to attend and speak at these meetings when there is an opportunity for public comment.
