In the spring 2024, the Town of Garner participated for the first time ever in The National Community Survey, which gauges livability and establishes national benchmarks that allow local governments to compare their community with hundreds of others across the nation.

The Town worked with the National Research Center at Polco to create a scientific survey process that yielded results from a representative sample of our community. A second phase, promoted by the Town, enabled open participation from across the community.

The 2024 results, accessed below as a digital report document or online dashboard, organize the survey data by quality of life, governance and 10 facets of community livability. Town leaders will use the survey data as a planning tool to help make data-informed decisions about budgets, performance metrics and the Town's strategic plan.
