Great Ways to Serve Your All-America City
The Town of Garner has five volunteer citizen boards, commissions and committees. In addition, the Downtown Garner Association (formerly Garner Revitalization Association) offers citizens still another way to help shape the future of Garner. Each is unique in its size, meeting schedule, and specific function; however, each relies on citizen participation.Find your place to serve and share your ideas, skills and concerns on topics from community appearance to land use initiatives. Your ideas and opinions are important and your willingness to serve on a Town board/commission/committee may be the avenue where you feel led to volunteer, so that, together, we can continue to work to make Garner a great place to be.
The Town appoints citizens to serve on a number of advisory boards and commissions. Citizens who serve on these boards and commissions perform a community service using their skills, interests and initiatives to make a difference. Whether you’re interested in community appearance, recreation activities or land-use practices, the Town of Garner has opportunities for you to volunteer to share your time and talents.
