GarnerUDOlogo1_HorizSmall In late 2019, the Town of Garner contracted with Stewart, Inc.'s Municipal Planning & Mobility team to undertake a re-write of the Town's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). It is anticipated that this will be a 2-year project. Bookmark or subscribe to this page for updates.

The new UDO was adopted July 5, 2022 and is currently in effect.

Public Participation

Extensive public participation and awareness is a key component of the UDO update and we want to hear from you throughout the process. The public participation in the recent comprehensive plan update will provide initial and ongoing guidance, but continuing public participation is vital to the success of this effort. Over the course of the UDO update, the Town will host public meetings and create a public survey to gather your input and feedback on the proposed development regulations.
