The After School Club includes dedicated homework and tutoring time, games, art projects and more. A Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources staff member will pick up club members from Vandora Springs Elementary and Aversboro Elementary and transport them to the Garner Recreation Center. Registration fee is per month.

Camp Kaleidoscope Jr is a great way for your child to have fun this summer in a safe environment. Each week follows a theme with "camptivities" including games, crafts, field trips and more. 

Location: Avery Street Recreation Center
Ages: 5-10, participants must have completed kindergarten
Dates: Follows WCPSS traditional school calendar (qty of weeks may vary based on staff availability)
Hours: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-6pm, no camp on June 19 or July 4 (Town Holidays)
Summer Feeding: We partner with Wake County Child Nutrition Services to offer free lunch and snack for 7 weeks of camp for Camp K Jr. Each camper must request a meal and/or snack when dropped off in the morning. Lunch and snack must be provided for those that opt out of free lunch or for the weeks that lunch isn't provided.

Camp Kaleidoscope Sr is an opportunity for campers to join friends to play games, create, visit local parks, take field trips and so much more. This camp is tailored to older participants and features more advanced activities.

The Junior Counselor Leadership Program runs for part of the traditional summer for ages 14-16. The program provides an opportunity for teens to volunteer with Camp K, develop leadership skills and earn 200 hours of community service.
