This free family-friendly event will feature holiday kids’ crafts, food trucks, games, music, and more. The Garner Express train ride will take guests on a trip around the outdoor walking trail, and when Santa Claus joins the party be ready for those family pictures! The Tree Lighting will take place immediately following the parade.

Parking & Accessibility

Parking located at the following locations:

Garner Recreation Center - includes handicap accessible parking

Garner Baseball Inc (Cars parked in the Main St lot will not be able to leave from approx. 4-6pm while Main Street is closed for the parade)

Please note the following parking locations require crossing the railroad tracks. Safe crossing points are located at Highway 50/Benson Rd., St. Mary’s Street, and New Rand Road. Please only cross at these points and do not climb the fencing.

Road Closures

Holiday Block Party & Tree Lighting Road Closures:

A small section of Purvis Street (pictured) will be closed to all traffic from 12:30pm until about 6:30pm.

A small portion of Main street (pictured) between N Montague Street and Purvis Street will remain closed after the parade for the tree lighting until about 6:30pm.
