Statewide Star Party

Do you believe there is life elsewhere in the universe? White Deer Park has been selected as a host site for the 6th annual Statewide Star Party. This year’s theme is: “Anyone Out There?” We will have hands-on activities, crafts, story time and more, all exploring the concept of life beyond our planet. Are we all alone in the universe? You decide!

Raleigh Astronomy Club will join us with their astronomy expertise and telescopes. Feel free to bring your own equipment and join in the skywatching fun. Don’t forget your flashlight! We also encourage a blanket or folding chair. The Star Party event is free and open to the public. Those interested in spending the night at the park may camp out for a small per-family fee.
