The Town seeks to improve the standard of living of Garner residents by investing in the repair and rehabilitation of existing housing stock through its corporate partners and by developing the human capital in its neighborhoods through educational programming.
Town of Garner/Rebuilding Together of the Triangle Partnership
Leverages tax dollars, corporate monetary donations and other in-kind donations to provide home repairs that address safety concerns and improve quality of life for low/moderate income families and persons with disabilities.
Garner 101 is a series of classes that offer a wealth of knowledge about the Town and its services and programs. The purpose of Garner 101 is to help promote community organizations and citizen participation.
Commercial/Residential Yard of the Month
The yard of the month program is intended to inspire residents and business owner in the Town of Garner to take pride in the appearance and upkeep of their properties. Once per month the Town of Garner will recognize one commercial and residential property as Yard of the Month.
Wake County Elderly/Disabled Homeowners Grants and Emergency Grants Program
Garner residents are referred to Wake County Human Services for home repairs. Selection for assistance is determined by Wake County personnel.
Neighborhood Leadership Academy
The Neighborhood Leadership Academy is a series of classes that will help develop your skills as a neighborhood or community leader.
