Garner Police Pursuit Ends in Charges for Stolen Vehicle

A speeding vehicle led Garner Police officers on a several mile chase through town that eventually ended up with the vehicle crashing on I-40 near US 70.  Police investigators confirmed the vehicle the suspects were driving was stolen.  The pursuit began at around 10:24pm and lasted about 11minutes, reaching speeds of around 100mph.  

Police charged 18 year old Elisha Jevon Grubb of Raleigh with speeding to elude arrest, possession of a stolen vehicle and Reckless driving.  He was taken to Wake Med with serious but non-life threatening injuries.  The two passengers, 17yo Mya Johnson of Garner and 17yo Mya Perry of Raleigh were also transported due to injuries received in the crash.  There is no update on their current condition.  

Police are continuing their investigation in this incident.  The North Carolina State Highway Patrol assisted with this case, maintaining responsibility for the crash investigation.
