To open a new account using an existing water connection call the City of Raleigh Utilities staff at 919-996-3245 (7:30-4:30).
To have a meter installed at a new building or to have a meter checked if it appears to be inaccurate, call the City of Raleigh Utilities staff at 919-996-3245.
For Water / Sewer Emergencies:
Between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm call the Public Utilities Operations Division at 919-996-2737 to report a broken main or overflowing sewer. After hours call the after-hours emergency number at 919-829-1930. The City of Raleigh is responsible for breaks in water and sewer mains in the street, but the property owner is responsible for breaks on private property.
